The research study examined hindrances to evangelism and soul-winning. The primary purpose of the study was to survey and evaluate the hindrances to evangelism and soul-winning, using Assemblies of God Nigeria, Ali-Udo District as a case study.
Four research questions were addressed. Data were collected from the library and selected participants in Assemblies of God Nigeria, Ali-Udo District, Abia State. Data were analyzed using simple percentages. It was found that evangelism and soul winning has a significant role in church growth.
It was also found that lack of confidence, fear, self-righteousness, self-centeredness, and lack of unity are hindrances to evangelism and soul-winning in Ali-Udo District. It is recommended that Christians of all ages should be educated and encouraged to partake at all times, in the course of evangelism and soul-winning activities.
It was also recommended that believers should cast out fear, self-righteousness, and self-centeredness to ensure that they effectively carry out evangelism to unbelievers.
